I've been taking minutes for over 6 years, a question arised that I am not familiar with the answer or can find in my RR book.  If another committee is going to present in our meeting may I ask them for a summary which they are presenting to add to our minutes?  Or am I to take the notes throughout their presentation?

Neither.

"The name and subject of a guest speaker can be given, but no effort should be made to summarize his remarks." RONR (12th ed.) 48:5
