Rules on someone who resigns being able to hold same position again

Are there any rules regarding if someone resigns from their position on the Executive Board and their ability or inability to hold that position again. Basically if someone resigned a year ago, can they go back in that position again, if it is open? Is there any rules regarding becoming part of the board again after resigning?

There are no rules preventing it. 

But of course voters are free to take this fact into account when deciding whom to nominate or vote for
