Guest SheilaD Posted October 30, 2023 at 08:11 PM Report Share Posted October 30, 2023 at 08:11 PM Scenario: Two-day meeting in which evidence was presented, with the intent to vote on the termination of a person in an appointed position at the end of the second day. Meeting was recessed at end of first day and reconvened. At end of second day, rather than vote, motion was made and passed to recess again. Five days later, meeting reconvened for the vote. Member X was absent for the first two days, so was not present for roll call. Roll was not called on either day the meeting was reconvened, so the record does not show that Member X was ever present. Can Member X vote? Quorum was met on all days.

Atul Kapur Posted October 31, 2023 at 01:04 AM Report Share Posted October 31, 2023 at 01:04 AM More specifically, members present when the vote is taken are eligible to vote, whether they were present for any of the debate is immaterial.
