bylaw amendment change during vote

We are proposing major by-law changes at our annual meeting.  There are a few sections that some people don't like and might cause the vote to fail the 2/3 requirement.  Is it allowed that those sections can be removed by a motion from the floor and then the rest of the changes voted on again at the same meeting?

My understanding is that what is being proposed is either a complete revision of the bylaws (or at least an amendment to a very large portion of the bylaws) that is being voted on as a complete package, rather than a series of proposed amendments being voted on individually.

With this understanding, yes, it would be in order to move to amend the proposed revision by removing entirely new sections. In the case of sections which are amendments to existing sections of the bylaws, the section should not be removed, because the effect of this (if the revision is adopted) would be to remove the section from the bylaws altogether. What I understand the goal to be is to take out the proposed amendments to that section and to have the section remain as it exists today. As such, the proper amendment would be to amend the section in the revision by replacing it with the text of the section as it exists today. Such an amendment is also within the scope of notice.

After such amendments are adopted, yes, the proposed revision may be voted on at the same meeting.
