Guest ANON Posted April 17, 2024 at 02:37 PM Report Share Posted April 17, 2024 at 02:37 PM If dues are set by a by-law (Example $300.00 each member) and the annual budget being presented is based on dues being $400 each member, the current board is saying that passing the budget will automatically amend the by-law. Our by-laws have a very specific way to amend the by-laws, including secret ballot and 2/3 majority so is it legal to adjust the dues amount just because a budget passes? Guest Atul Kapur Posted April 17, 2024 at 07:30 PM Report Share Posted April 17, 2024 at 07:30 PM Yes - I couldn't figure out how to edit. I wanted to mention that they are using the "conforming amendment" in RR. Apologies
