Unless the bylaws give them the authority to cancel a meeting they have called, they cannot do it. If a quorum were to show up at the time and date called, they could conduct business, including electing the officers.

Properly called meetings cannot be cancelled. Moreover, the board has little to do with general membership meetings -- the membership should run the annual membership meeting. The membership would be perfectly within its rights to convene and conduct busi"

No it's not. Because it can't. Especially in the way you describe.

Hopefully the members will ignore it, show up anyway, and remove those board members from office. See FAQ #20, elsewher"
