joan Posted June 2, 2010 at 04:39 AM Report Posted June 2, 2010 at 04:39 AM At our last board meeting a recomendation was made by the committee to reinstate half of the money that was designated in the wrong line item of the general fund. A motion was made to reinstate all money that was designated in the wrong line item in the general fund. This motion failed. A subsequent motion was made to reinstate half of the money. A point of order was called and dismissed because it was decided there was material difference between the two motions. The second motion passed. The person that called the point of order claims that the motion is in violation of Robert's Rules of Order and therefore the decision is in question. What is your opinion?

The motion was adopted.
