If nominations are taken and one nominee is taken for an office is there a way to elect the single nominee on the night of nominations?

If [a] there is only one nominee and your bylaws do not mandate a ballot vote, then, when the elections are held, the chair can declare the sole candidate elected "by acclamation". But this is done when the elections are scheduled to take place, not before.
