Annual Meetings

A small group of homeowners have threatened to attend our annual meeting and cause chaos there. Besides have security at the meeting, what do RR say about tolerating that behavior, as other people do not want to attend meetings in that atmosphere?

Must the notice of an AGM state that there will be election of officers

and if this was omitted could the notice be amended within the notice period?

Must it state so explicitly?

Probably "no." It is probably redundant.

I have not read your bylaws.

But it is hard to grasp the notion, "that an AGM will be held without elections."

It boggles the mind, since that is the core purpose of an Annual General Meeting. - To elect new officers and/or a new board of directors.

Else, you'd have regular meetings, forever. No AGM at all.

(What did you plan to do at your AGM otherwise? Why have one at all?)

I don't see a feasible alternative of doing one thing yet failing to do the other thing.
