A copy can be corrected. The official text of the bylaws resides in the approved minutes of the meetings at which they were adopted. If that's in error you'll need to follow the formal amendment process.
Tim Wynn Posted November 5, 2010 at 12:47 PM Report Share Posted November 5, 2010 at 12:47 PM If there are typographical or mispelling constitution or by laws but they don't change the meaning or general statement of the amendment can it be simply corrected or does ithave to be brought before the membershipSee RONR(10th ed.), p. 579-580 for a somewhat similar situation concerning headings and section numbers. It illustrates how the assembly must be involved in the change of technical details. You should make a motion to amend the mistakes. If they are truly typographical and represent no change of meaning, their adoption should be effortless.
