hmtcastle Posted November 15, 2010 at 05:01 PM Report Share Posted November 15, 2010 at 05:01 PM How long must minutes be kept?, and can it be hard copy or do you have to keep the actual taped meeting?Minutes should be kept forever. But the recording of the meeting is not the minutes. The "hard copy" is (and should be considerably condensed). The organization will probably want the recording destroyed a reasonable period of time after the minutes are approved (one month). See RONR(10th ed.), p. 444, l. 5-7. The minutes should be kept indefinitely.
