Tim Wynn Posted December 3, 2010 at 11:41 PM Report Share Posted December 3, 2010 at 11:41 PM What is the RORN opinion on who is in charge when both the President/Chairman and the Vice President/Vice Chairman are not present at at regularly scheduled meeting? Is it the Secretary or the Treasurer? If you find yourself without a presiding officer, the secretary should call the meeting to order and preside over the immediate election of a chairman pro tem. If the secretary is not present, any member can call the meeting to order and move directly to electing a chair pro tem. This would then be followed by the newly elected chair pro tem presiding over the election of a secretary pro tem. As always, the assembly is "in charge" of the meeting. The chairman simply presides.
