Josh Martin Posted January 15, 2011 at 03:49 AM Report Share Posted January 15, 2011 at 03:49 AM When the Chairman of a Nominating Committees presents the Committees candidates for office is this presentation considered a Motion to vote? Or does the President of the body entertain a separate Motion and Second? After the chairman of the nominating committee has presented the committee's report, the chairman asks if there are any nominations from the floor. After any nominations and debate are completed, the vote is taken. If you use a ballot vote, you can vote on the offices one at a time or all at once. If there is only one nomination for a given office, the President may declare the nominee elected by acclamation.
