Tim Wynn Posted January 28, 2011 at 05:38 PM Report Share Posted January 28, 2011 at 05:38 PM When a president resigns mid-year. Does the new president have to keep the same committee's?See RONR(10th ed.), p. 169, l. 28 - 170, l. 7 & p. 478 - 80, for removal and replacement of committee members by the president. This, however, does not give the president the power to disband a committee. RONR does not give the president that authority. You should check your bylaws to see if such a provision exists. Outside of that, the body that created the committee would be responsible for discharging it (or perhaps removing it from the bylaws... if it's a standing committee).
