Guest Jon Posted January 5, 2018 at 01:51 PM Report Share Posted January 5, 2018 at 01:51 PM Our organization has drafted a major revision of our bylaws which requires approval by 2/3 of our members present and voting at a scheduled meeting for this purpose. My question regards any motion to amend our proposed revision: would such a motion to amend require a majority or a 2/3 vote? Our bylaws do not address this; however we use RONR as a reference . Thanks

In case you don't look in the book, note also that the entire revision stands open to amendment, and there is no scope of notice limitation, unless your rules provide otherwise.
