Guest Bob Hartzell Posted February 21, 2011 at 09:17 PM Report Share Posted February 21, 2011 at 09:17 PM A motion was made and seconded during our last board meeting. The motion was discussed and passed. In the subsequent board meeting,a motion was made, seconded, discussed, and passed that we reopen the motion for our previous board meeting. A motion was then made, seconded, discussed and passed that we recind the motion passed during the previous board meeting. What is the proper way to do what we just did? Chris Harrison Posted February 21, 2011 at 09:56 PM Report Share Posted February 21, 2011 at 09:56 PM Indubitably. Is just a simple majority necessary to recind a previously passed motion?Yes if previous notice was given. Without previous notice a 2/3 vote or a majority vote of the ENTIRE membership would be needed.
