Gary Novosielski Posted February 22, 2011 at 02:27 PM Report Share Posted February 22, 2011 at 02:27 PM Is it allowed that one person can be a candidate for both President and Vice President? You will have to check and interpret your own bylaws to determine if one person can serve as both President and VP in your organization. RONR does not prohibit it.But even in those societies which do not permit holding more than one office, there is usually no rule against running for more than one. If in that situation, if the candidate is elected to more than one office, he can choose which to accept. (Or, if he is not present at the election, the assembly can choose for him.) Gary Novosielski Posted February 23, 2011 at 04:29 AM Report Share Posted February 23, 2011 at 04:29 AM But the rules of logic do.I fully agree. For one thing, if the president resigned, as soon as his resignation was accepted, he would immediately become president.(Not to mention immediate past president)
