Since our new President has been in office, he has changed that policy to only have meetings when we need them. But, when we DO have these meetings, they are always set up on B shift days (this is a firefighter schedule...A, B, and C shifts). It just so happens that our president is on B shift. Therefore, all the other shift memeber have to come in on their day off to attend this meeting. Shouldn't these meetings be equally set up so that EVERY shift can attend some time when they are on shift? Where In RONR can I find the rules on this?? Thanks! General rules about meetings are in Chapter IV, starting on p.79.Scheduling meetings is entirely a matter for your association to take care of, commonly by some provisions in the bylaws.So take a look at your bylaws. It is quite possible that your president may have acted well beyond his authority, as spelled out in the bylaws, in rearranging meeting times.
