bookerb Posted March 8, 2011 at 04:28 AM Report Share Posted March 8, 2011 at 04:28 AM The organization's bylaws restrict the term of president to one term. However the organization would like to permit the president to serve a successive term. This is a one time request. The organization doesn't want to change the bylaws. How do we do that with RROO? How do we do that with RROO?You amend the bylaws. Whether you "want to" or not, that is your only option Term limits in bylaws may not be suspended (umless there is a provision in the bylaws themselves that authorize suspension; but if that were the case with your bylaws, I doubt you would be asking the question). That is, of course, one of the down sides to term limits.
