Guest Carol Posted June 1, 2011 at 04:19 PM Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 at 04:19 PM I am a member of a small organization who just lost our President and Vice President. They have both resigned and there are not very many of us to fill the vacancies. Does Roberts Rules assow for the Treasurer to also hold the Vice President position? Thanks in advance for any input. Some combinations are not suggested, Pres-VP and Pres-Secretary primarily. How this may affect your quorum is a consideration as well.
jstackpo Posted June 1, 2011 at 04:24 PM Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 at 04:24 PM RONR has no restrictions with respect to one person holding multiple offices, except possibly President and Secretary (because of overlapping duties during a meeting). Guest Carol Posted June 1, 2011 at 04:41 PM Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 at 04:41 PM Thank you for the quick reply. We have a meeting tonight to fill the vacancies and I don't think we are going to have anyone willing to take VP right now.Wow that security code is hard to read!!! David A Foulkes Posted June 1, 2011 at 04:57 PM Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 at 04:57 PM Wow that security code is hard to read!!!Yes, and it is regrettable it must be employed to keep the riff-raff out. If you're willing to give it one more go, I'd suggest you register as a member, and then you'll never need to enter the code again.

What exactly does "it say" about posting when you log in?You should be receiving a confirmation email to the email account you used to sign up and you will probably need to click a confirmation link in that email to confirm you are who you are. Has that email arrived yet?

Guest Carol Posted June 3, 2011 at 04:32 PM Report Share Posted June 3, 2011 at 04:32 PM Ah, I see. I'm getting better at reading the security code (I only have to try two or three times now) so I supposed the wait will be alright
Tim Wynn Posted June 3, 2011 at 04:41 PM Report Share Posted June 3, 2011 at 04:41 PM Yes, and it is regrettable it must be employed to keep the riff-raff out. I thought the idea was to keep the riff-raff in.
