Guest loose Posted June 26, 2011 at 07:20 PM Report Share Posted June 26, 2011 at 07:20 PM Special Meeting - who gets to chair, who composes the agenda, who gets to decide whether we meet by telephone conference if that is allowed? Are all these things bylaws questions? I saw nothing in RR about it.
Chris Harrison Posted June 26, 2011 at 07:40 PM Report Share Posted June 26, 2011 at 07:40 PM Special Meeting - who gets to chair, Whoever the regular presiding officer is unless he agrees to turn over the chair to the Vice (President, Chair, or whatever title you all use) or a Chair pro tem or the assembly Suspends the Rules to have someone else preside (see Official Interpretation 2006-2 for details).who composes the agenda, Whoever normally does. However, since this is a Special Meeting only business that was included in the call for the Special Meeting can be validly conducted there probably is no need for an agenda when there is only one or two things that can be validly conducted. If the call has multiple items of business to be conducted whoever normally writes the agenda would do so but the ultimate judge of what goes where is the assembly's.who gets to decide whether we meet by telephone conference if that is allowed? Whoever the bylaws authorize to call the Special Meeting unless they authorize someone specific to determine how the meeting will be held. Are all these things bylaws questions? Some are and some aren't.
