Guest Marlaine Peachey Posted August 18, 2011 at 09:01 PM Report Share Posted August 18, 2011 at 09:01 PM If there are two positions of at large directors open on the board and you hold elections, it is proper to have one vote and the top two are elected, or do you vote for one position at a time? Bruce Lages Posted August 18, 2011 at 09:12 PM Report Share Posted August 18, 2011 at 09:12 PM Marlaine - if the two positions are identical, with the same title, responsibilities, and term of office, it is entirely proper to use one ballot, with the two highest vote getters be elected as long as their vote totals each constitute a majority of the total votes cast. However, if there is some difference between the two positions, it might be more appropriate to use separate ballots.
