Guest Ann Gilmore Posted September 7, 2011 at 09:38 PM Report Share Posted September 7, 2011 at 09:38 PM When a committee brings a motion before the members and the moderator says it does not need a second. Do the committee members and the chairperson vote in the meeting. Verbal or ballot. Also if there are 5 people on the committee do they have one vote as a committee or 5 votes as members. jstackpo Posted September 7, 2011 at 10:00 PM Report Share Posted September 7, 2011 at 10:00 PM Presuming all of the committee members are also members of the (parent) association, they are then free to vote, individually, as each one sees fit at meetings of the association.Verbal or ballot is a decision for the association to make on a case by case, issue by issue basis -- whichever voting method is agreed to applies to all the voters.
