David A Foulkes Posted October 9, 2011 at 09:32 PM Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 at 09:32 PM Are we talking about an election here? And what do you mean by "recall the ballot?"

Can they?At no point. And they can't.Assuming you're referring to an "incomplete" election, you keep voting until someone is elected (who is willing to serve). Guest Christi Posted October 9, 2011 at 11:57 PM Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 at 11:57 PM I am talking about an election. We have 12 candidates for 3 Director Spots. We are on the 4th round of voting with no majority. Also, how long in between voting? The BOD has placed several days in between voting and now they do not want to vote tomorrow because it is a holiday.

So there needn't be any delay between rounds of voting. As midnight approaches, some voters may go home while others may vote for a "dark horse" just to get the election over with.By the way, unless your bylaws say otherwise, the board would typically play no role in an election held at a meeting of the general membership. Guest Christi Posted October 10, 2011 at 01:43 AM Report Share Posted October 10, 2011 at 01:43 AM No, our bylaws state we can vote electronically as long as we have a quorum of votes. We have our President Elect, Secretary and Treasurer, just not 3 Directors. There has been talk that among the members they were concerned the bod would pull the ballot and call for a total revote. Our bylaws do not state anything about bod being involved, we follow Robert's Rules.

If the bylaws don't give the Board the authority to get involved then they don't have that authority.
