Removal of Chairman at a special meeting

Our president of our corporation called a special meeting of shareholders where the only item on the agenda is the removal of our non-executive chairman. How can we remove him from presiding over the meeting? Also, he has attempted to add items to the agenda even though our bylaws state that only items that have been noticed can be brought before the meeting.

See RONR (11th ed.), p. 451, ll 29-35 for the chairman not presiding and pp. 91-93 for Special Meetings.
