Guest Amaris Piper Posted November 22, 2011 at 05:31 AM Report Share Posted November 22, 2011 at 05:31 AM I am a board member and head coach of my local swimming team. I have recently submitted my resignation to the board thus ending my employment as the head coach. My last date of employment is in approx 6 months. My question is: Board members (8 total including myself) have begun emailing back and forth between each other trying to persude one another who to hire as the new head coach. Isnt this a violation of Robert's Rule? If so, what is the reference to this violation?
Gary c Tesser Posted November 22, 2011 at 07:17 AM Report Share Posted November 22, 2011 at 07:17 AM Robert's Rules of Order concerns itself with parliamentary procedure, which generally deals with how business is transacted in meetings. It does not limit any communication outside of meetings (and for the most part, promotes communication within meetings). What sort of violation were you thinking of?
