Guest camilla Posted March 1, 2012 at 09:12 PM Report Share Posted March 1, 2012 at 09:12 PM The Board has elected to send out a mail ballot for proposals to change our Constitution/By Laws, instead of presenting these proposals at the General Meeting for discussion prior to voting by the Membership. By sending out a mail ballot, the Board has circumvented any discussion by the Membership. Is it still possible to make a motion from the floor to bring forth the proposals at the General Meeting so that the Membership has this opportunity to hear both sides of the proposals? Can this be done even after the result of the mail ballots have been counted? Is there suppose to be a "ballot committee" to count the mail ballots? Who is suppose to be included on the committee? Chris Harrison Posted March 1, 2012 at 09:17 PM Report Share Posted March 1, 2012 at 09:17 PM Do the bylaws specifically authorize the use of mail in ballots? If they don't you can't use it (RONR p. 423).
