This is the greatest site on the Internet for anyone with interests in parliamentary procedures or questions about things that happen in their group meeting that confuse them. One thing I have learned is the importance of how bylaws are written and that you can tie your own hands as a group simply by the way you word things. Secondly that speaking up when you feel something is wrong is very important. Use of Point of order when you know the chair is in violation of either the bylaws or Roberts of Order. I've learned just how easy it is for a rogue chair to take control of an uninformed membership, You can bet it will never happen again in my chapter.
