However, one of the members in question is the chairman.our by-laws state he interprets the rules and by-laws.Can our group elect a moderator to conducted this special called meeting since the chairman is one of the parties involved and clearly a conflict of interest in his part? what rule allows the election of a temporary chair or moderator for this special called meeting/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, in addition to being chairman of the organization, he is also the chair of the ethic committeeThe same principle applies. If the chair is named with other members, he may preside.
