Guest Sue Posted May 9, 2012 at 04:38 PM Report Share Posted May 9, 2012 at 04:38 PM Is it mandatory to elect temporary Chair and Vice Chair for one meeting where both members of the commission are unable to attend? If so, is this the first order of business on the agenda?
Chris Harrison Posted May 9, 2012 at 05:00 PM Report Share Posted May 9, 2012 at 05:00 PM If the Chair and Vice Chair are absent the Secretary (or another member if the Secretary is also absent) would call the meeting to order and preside over the election of a Chair pro tem who would preside for that meeting or until the Chair or Vice Chair arrive (RONR p. 453). There is no need to elect a temporary Vice Chair.
