kyosanim Posted May 16, 2012 at 02:18 AM Report Share Posted May 16, 2012 at 02:18 AM Is it proper to group three or four by-law amendments together, for example 3 with minor word changes and one that has a major change? Also is there a way to separate the controversial one from the rest so they can be voted on?

Also is there a way to separate the controversial one from the rest so they can be voted on?It is not improper to offer several independent amendments to the bylaws in one motion, but if this is done any one or more of them must receive separate consideration and vote at the request of any member. Take a careful look at Section 27 in RONR (11th ed.) for details concerning division of motions.
