This is how we are dealing with it we are have another vote for the position is this legal and dose the vote have to be a 2/3 vote or simple majority. They may have a provision describing how to fill vacancies that crop up between the regular elections.If none there, then you run a special election (just like a regular one - majority vote wins) to fill the vacancy.
