Guest Jennifer Posted May 29, 2012 at 01:36 AM Report Share Posted May 29, 2012 at 01:36 AM Can a member who has been granted a Leave of Absence have their term renewed, while on aforementioned leave?
jstackpo Posted May 29, 2012 at 01:52 AM Report Share Posted May 29, 2012 at 01:52 AM RONR doesn't "do" or even refer to a "Leave of Absence" so any rules you might have to answer your question would have to be of your own making. Check your bylaws.
Trina Posted May 29, 2012 at 11:26 AM Report Share Posted May 29, 2012 at 11:26 AM If by 'have their term renewed' you are asking whether such a person can be elected to office, nothing in RONR would prevent it. There is no RONR requirement that a nominee be present when nominated, no requirement that a nominee must accept nomination in order to be eligible, and no requirement that a nominee be present when the election is actually conducted.
