Guest Chris Posted June 15, 2012 at 12:05 PM Report Share Posted June 15, 2012 at 12:05 PM This week our Union was presented at a general membership meeting the negotiated contract. After a somewhat heated debated meeting the President of the Union who contacted the Superintendent of the district to tell him about the meeting (Why? I don't know) This lead to the following day the President met with the Supt and the board Pres. to negotiate further (no negotiations team), even after a presentation of compensation was had. That being said, the vote which should have been taken two days later is now being push to a later day.So I guess my question is can this be done? a presentation of money was made, then before the vote, renegotiated? jstackpo Posted June 15, 2012 at 12:13 PM Report Share Posted June 15, 2012 at 12:13 PM Negotiation rules and the powers of the president to negotiate on his/her own are matters to be found in your bylaws or other union regs.. RONR doesn't deal with them.
