Are the tellers or Board members required to report the actual number of votes for each candidate, or may they report only who won?The teller's report should include actual numbers of votes cast for each candidate, and this report is to be read by the chair, and to be entered in full into the minutes (RONR 11th ed. pp. 417-418). (And I can't imagine how the board members would be involved in this process.)The chair should then re-read the tellers report and announce the result of the vote (i.e., who was elected, if anyone).
