Guest Edgar Posted June 25, 2012 at 04:00 PM Report Share Posted June 25, 2012 at 04:00 PM Can you explain the difference between a recall and a removal of an officer? If the result is that the person is no longer in office, I'd say there's no difference.Or, perhaps, "recall" refers to removal by the people that elected the officer in the first place. So it's a particular kind of removal. But an officer could also be removed through disciplinary procedures. Why do you ask?
jstackpo Posted June 25, 2012 at 05:08 PM Report Share Posted June 25, 2012 at 05:08 PM And, as ever (tiresomely perhaps), it is worth pointing out that RONR doesn't use (or define) "recall" in the sense Sheryl wants to use it.It does describe how to "remove" someone from office (unfortunately the book also uses the word "depose" in a few places that should have been changed to "remove" in the 11th edition) mostly in Chapter 20, the discipline chapter.
