Chris Harrison Posted July 18, 2012 at 07:42 PM Report Share Posted July 18, 2012 at 07:42 PM A motion can be withdrawn unilaterally up until the time the Chair states the question (when the Chair repeats the motion that the member had just made-which generally takes place after the motion has been seconded). After the question is stated it belongs to the assembly and they would have to grant permission for it to be withdrawn (requires a majority vote).
