Bill G. Posted September 20, 2012 at 02:43 AM Report Share Posted September 20, 2012 at 02:43 AM Good evening,At a recent meeting, a quorum was established. As the meeting progressed, one or more members left the room for various reasons (take a phone call, restroom, etc...) and as a result, the number to maintain the quorum was not maintained. A vote came up on a motion when the number to maintain a quorum was not met. The vote was taken and subsequently, one member objected to the vote as no quorum was met at the time the vote was taken. Another member stated that once a quorum had been reached and the meeting began, even if members left, the meeting could continue and regular business, including a vote, could be properly taken by the group. I have tried to find this in RONR and can't seem to find the anwer. Any thoughts on this?Thank you.
