Guest Information Posted November 3, 2017 at 08:49 PM Report Share Posted November 3, 2017 at 08:49 PM Hello, If the President and Vice President of the Executive committe resigns who takes thier place? Our bylaws are silent on this. Its also within 12months of our elections therefore not required to hold special elections. Thanks!
Hieu H. Huynh Posted November 3, 2017 at 09:06 PM Report Share Posted November 3, 2017 at 09:06 PM Whoever gets elected at the next elections. For the meetings, the assembly could decide who would chair the meeting.
Guest Who's Coming to Dinner Posted November 3, 2017 at 09:13 PM Report Share Posted November 3, 2017 at 09:13 PM Whoever elects or appoints the President and Vice President has the power to fill the vacancies. The offices will stand vacant until they are filled. I disagree that a special election is not required; if your bylaws require that there be such officers, then you have a duty to replace them. If they are silent, do the bylaws provide that the Executive Committee has full power and authority to act between meetings of the membership?
