Guest Kieth Posted February 21, 2018 at 05:47 PM Report Share Posted February 21, 2018 at 05:47 PM our bylaws use the word ‘unbudgeted’ but what is meant by that? If the Board puts it in the yearly budget but it is a new line item, is it budgeted or ‘unbudgeted’ ? Can the budget be voted on as a whole and passed with this new line item in it? Or does it have to be treated differently?
Gary Novosielski Posted February 21, 2018 at 06:08 PM Report Share Posted February 21, 2018 at 06:08 PM I would think that anything that appears in the approved budget, whether old or new, is considered budgeted. I see no reason why the budget can't be passed with new items, but you have provided so little context that I'm not sure I could.

It is up to your organization to interpret its own bylaws. 2 hours ago, Guest Kieth said: Can the budget be voted on as a whole and passed with this new line item in it? Sure.
