Guest Julie Wojtowick Posted September 29, 2018 at 03:47 PM Report Share Posted September 29, 2018 at 03:47 PM Can 1 or 2 members of a group decide actions to take that involve the group without discussing it at a meeting of all the members? Greg Goodwiller, PRP Posted September 29, 2018 at 03:54 PM Report Share Posted September 29, 2018 at 03:54 PM The simple answer is no. But I suspect that there are more details you might need to give us to more fully answer your question.

My answer is going to be slightly from that of my friend (and the highly esteemed) Dr. Goodwiller. Two members may get together and decide on what actions THEY themselves intend to take involving the group. Their decisions, of course, are not binding on the group. It's called many things, including plotting political strategy, trying to get a plan of action for the meeting, coordinating a coup, and on and on. They can talk and plan and plot all they want to.... as individuals.
Guest Who's Coming to Dinner Posted September 29, 2018 at 04:19 PM Report Share Posted September 29, 2018 at 04:19 PM If "involve the group" means that they purport to act in the name of the group, and they are not authorized to do so, then they assume personal liability for their actions unless and until the group ratifies them. Greg Goodwiller, PRP Posted September 30, 2018 at 04:23 AM Report Share Posted September 30, 2018 at 04:23 AM I don’t disagree with anything that has been said. I would still like to know more details about the decision(s) in question.
