Guest Confused Posted September 19, 2019 at 01:50 PM Report Share Posted September 19, 2019 at 01:50 PM I was the target of several intense personal attacks at a meeting recently that went unchallenged by the chair. The attacks were from two board members, as well as from the Chair. I feel the actions of all three of these people is unacceptable. The other board members just kept their heads down and did nothing. I’m not sure what to do. if the Rules of Order will not be followed, how can they be used being order, or initiate discipline? Rob Elsman Posted September 19, 2019 at 02:45 PM Report Share Posted September 19, 2019 at 02:45 PM Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the society to elect officers who know of, and are committed to, the rules of the society, including the rules of order. Check your bylaws for disciplinary or removal procedures, or if they are silent, see Ch. XX of RONR.
