Guest farmer Posted October 30, 2019 at 02:57 AM Report Share Posted October 30, 2019 at 02:57 AM I believe that I read in Roberts Rules that state law or statues superseeds Roberts Rules of Order. Where can I find that. Is in the 11th edition newly revised book?
Guest Zev Posted October 30, 2019 at 09:01 AM Report Share Posted October 30, 2019 at 09:01 AM Quote 1) No main motion is in order that conflicts with the corporate charter, constitution, or bylaws (although a main motion to amend them may be in order; see 35, 57); and to the extent that procedural rules applicable to the organization or assembly are prescribed by federal, state, or local law, no main motion is in order that conflicts with such rules. The 11th edition had a slight change in wording to clarify that this applies to procedural rules found in laws, not to every law on every subject.
