loreen Posted May 28, 2021 at 02:52 PM Report Share Posted May 28, 2021 at 02:52 PM If the board indicates that the revision of bylaws will be voted in total, can a member call for a division and what percentage of members would be required to pass this division. Joshua Katz Posted May 28, 2021 at 02:58 PM Report Share Posted May 28, 2021 at 02:58 PM The board has no authority to be running a membership meeting anyway. They have no right to tell you that the amendments will be voted on in any particular manner. The response here is a point of order. That aside, it the amendments are on different topics, they should be divided on the demand of a single member. By the way, I would avoid the phrase "call for a division" in this regard, as it sounds like the procedure for challenging the ruling of the chair on a voice vote.
