We really need a little more information in order to properly answer your question. It will also help if you tell us what you mean by "a hearing" and how it is different from an ordinary meeting. In an ordinary meeting, the chair can declare the meeting adjourned without a motion once all items of business have been handled and no one has any (or any more) new business. If that is the case, the chair can state simply, "There being no further business, we are adjourned". Whether that is the case with your "hearing", we don't know because we know nothing about your "hearing".
Weldon Merritt Posted July 7, 2021 at 10:01 PM Report Share Posted July 7, 2021 at 10:01 PM I also wonder whether Guest joan malkin is referring to closing the hearing to non-members (i.e., going into executive session).
