Timelines for filing Treasurer's Report on social media

After the Treasurer of a Board of Directors of a non-profit presents their Treasurer's Report, is there a time frome to "file" the report.  Also, after the Board reviews it, does the yearly budget for the upcoming Fiscal Year get presented to the full Membership, as well as the Board?  If not, but a Member wishes to see it, under what circumstances can they see the Budget?  This non-profit has a "Members Only" section on their webpage.

The By-Laws or the Standing Rules as they pertain to social media and this is all new for our Club with the development of a Web Page.

1.  Do we post minutes of meetings on it, in addition to keeping them in folder files?

2.  How soon after a meeting, be it of the Board of Directors, General Membership, Annual Meeting do the minutes get posted to it?

3.  Does a Treasurer's Report get posted on a Webpage?

4.  Does the yearly Budget get posted on the Webpage?

Thank you.

Nothing in RONR requires posting anything on any web page.   Since you never had one before now, it's clear you broke no rules in the past.  And getting a new web page creates no new obligations as such.  How much you want to post on a web page is up to the organization.

Any official filings are a matter of what laws apply to organizations of your type, and are questions for a lawyer familiar with such matters.

In RONR, the advice is that treasurer's reports are not accepted, approved, nor otherwise voted on.  The treasurers report is delivered at regular meetings and place on file, either in the treasurer's own files, or the secretary's, depending on your rules.  The report that gets voted on by the membership at the annual meeting is the auditor's report.  It is assumed that the treasurer's books will be audited annually either by a CPA firm, or by an ad-hoc audit committee made up of members, resulting in an audit report that is provided to the membership for approval.

In the usual case, the annual budget is prepared in advance of the annual meeting, by the treasurer, the board, or a budget committee appointed for the purpose.  Once moved for approval at the annual meeting, it is open for debate, amendment, or other consideration as with any main motion, and once perfected, is adopted by the membership.  The details are left up to the organization, and any applicable regulations.

The organisation may decide for itself what information to publish , when and where. What do you want the public and members to have at their fingertips?

If your organusation depenss on donations / support off the public it is wise to publish a lot.

If you are a secret organisation  publish as little as you can get away with.

Maybe best is not to publish drafts, only publish what is allready been approved. (So if you aant to publish minutes only publish them after they have been adopted.nk the more important  decvyou want to publish them are
