Guest Carson Posted March 27, 2024 at 10:15 PM Report Share Posted March 27, 2024 at 10:15 PM hello everyone! I am currently serving in my student government. We use Roberts Rules to run meetings; this past week a motion to allocate money was made and passed. After speaking with other members, they feel as though the motion was made prematurely. So, is there a way to bring the motion back to the table, or rescind the motion entirely so we can amend it?

You can either Rescind it, or use Amend Something Previously Adopted to amend it. These motions are discussed in §35 of RONR 12th edition. What does this have to do with Appealing from the Decision of the Chair?
