Motions Regarding Distribution of Minutes - Special Meeting

Someday soon, the Michigan Libertarians should just hire one of you fine people full time.      đŸ™‚

At a recent special convention, a motion, not included in the call to said meeting, was made to compel the Secretary to produce minutes within 3 days after the convention adjournment.

Point of order/appeal was made that since the motion was not part of the call to the special convention, it must be found to be invalid.

Would any and all motions regarding the special convention minutes fall within the notice exceptions found in RONR 9:15 ?

"This rule, however, does not preclude the consideration of privileged motions, or of any subsidiary, incidental, or other motions that may arise in connection with
the transaction of such business or the conduct of the meeting."

Many thanks for your time.

As you'll see in the other thread, it's a bit of a gray area. I certainly would not say that "any and all motions regarding the special convention minutes" fall within those exceptions. As to whether a particular motion falls within those exceptions, it's a judgment call.
