Guest Boston Posted April 25, 2024 at 07:25 PM Report Share Posted April 25, 2024 at 07:25 PM Can a motion be made without being assembled? Example: Make a motion in advance of an in-person meeting/assembly and make that motion via email.
Richard Brown Posted April 25, 2024 at 07:47 PM Report Share Posted April 25, 2024 at 07:47 PM No. Unless you have a rule to the contrary, motions must be made at and during meetings. Prior to the meeting, a member can announce his intent to make a motion at the meeting, but the motion itself must be made at the meeting.
