hmtcastle Posted October 14, 2010 at 01:27 PM Report Share Posted October 14, 2010 at 01:27 PM one question is when somebody nominates someone, do we need and second and the second question is when someone nominates one person, that person being nominated cant second the vote. is this correct?Nominations do not require a second (although seconds, as a show of support, are not uncommon). A person can nominate himself, or second his own nomination, though either action might be considered "indelicate".

Guest cmiles Posted October 17, 2010 at 07:33 PM Report Share Posted October 17, 2010 at 07:33 PM if a board member resigns and has not been replaced, then wants to come back onto the board, does the board need to re-vote them back onto the board? Tim Wynn Posted October 17, 2010 at 07:47 PM Report Share Posted October 17, 2010 at 07:47 PM if a board member resigns and has not been replaced, then wants to come back onto the board, does the board need to re-vote them back onto the board? It sounds like there was a vacancy on the board. This should be filled by whatever method your rules prescribe. The member who vacated the position would not have any right to return to it without following the proper procedure for filling it.
